There are an increasing number of ways that English language learners (ELL) can get their Lexile measures worldwide. This includes:
- Reading tests that are officially linked with the Lexile scale through scientific studies. ELL examples include the TOEFL (www.ets.org/toefl) and TOEFL Junior (www.ets.org/toefljunior) tests published by ETS. You can convert a TOEFL Reading score into a Lexile measure at www.lexile.com/toefl.
- Reading tests that we co-developed with a partner. ELL examples include the Scholastic Reading Inventory (www.scholastic.com/international), and the English-Lectio Quotient test published by Natmal in Korea (www.natmal.com.)
- Engaging English. Our premium online reading service for adult learners includes a 30-minute placement test that provides a member's initial Lexile measure, as well as ongoing assessment for measurement updates. You can sign up for a trial membership at www.engagingenglish.com/free-trial.
